When Diana Schiller decides to go to the New Jersey shore for a few days, it’s because the fifty-year-old widow is bored with her life and is trying to determine what her future might hold. She hopes that a change of scene might open the door to new opportunities. A chance meeting with a handsome man gives her reason to believe that things are looking up, as does her conversation with a woman looking to start her own life over. As Diana becomes more enmeshed in their lives, she discovers, for unexpected reasons, that these will indeed be a few good days at the beach.
